Joy Woods Set for Cabaret West End Run in 2026

joy woods is heading to the Kit Kat Club, with the production confirming she will take over as Sally Bowles in Cabaret on 25 May 2026. She will star opposite Jamie Muscato, who will play the Emcee, as the current run hands over to the new pairing in late May. The West End production is booking until 30 January 2027, with tickets already on sale.

The changeover places joy woods in one of the production’s key roles, following the current pairing of Matt Willis and Katie Hall. Woods is set to remain with the show until 4 September 2026, while Muscato will continue through 19 September 2026. After that, Marina Tavolieri will step in as Sally Bowles from 7 to 19 September.
The production has also set out a list of scheduled absences. Muscato is not scheduled to perform on Friday 12 June at 7. 30pm or Saturday 13 June at 2. 00pm and 7. 30pm. woods is also absent on those June performances, as well as Monday 24 August at 7. 30pm, Tuesday 25 August at 7. 30pm, and Wednesday 26 August at 2. 00pm and 7. 30pm. On those dates, Joe Atkinson will play the Emcee and Tavolieri will play Sally Bowles.
What Cabaret is bringing back to the West End
Cabaret, by composer John Kander, lyricist Fred Ebb and book writer Joe Masteroff, is based on I Am a Camera by John Van Druten and the Berlin Stories of Christopher Isherwood. The musical opened in the West End in late 2021 and continues under Rebecca Frecknall’s direction, with set and costume design by Tom Scutt and choreography by Julia Cheng.
The production credits also include musical supervision by Jennifer Whyte, musical direction by Ben van Tienen, lighting design by Isabella Byrd, sound design by Nick Lidster, wigs and hair design by Sam Cox, and make-up design by Guy Common. Stuart Burt is the casting director, while Jordan Fein is the original associate director and prologue director.
