If code is written with the help of a system that can also identify vulnerabilities at scale, then responsibility cannot be outsourced to the tool. Over the next six months, he writes, the barrier to entry for sophisticated attacks will continue to diminish, with a “hacker’s dream weapon” available broadly to those with money for access and compute. That countdown makes defensive preparation feel urgent, not theoretical.

Still unresolved is the cultural reality inside companies: employees will test new agents because the tools are powerful and the incentives are immediate. The open question is whether governance, controls, and accountability can move just as quickly—without freezing innovation or assuming perfect behavior.
