Megacon Orlando 2026 is underway as fans navigate tickets, parking, and celebrity events

megacon orlando is underway this weekend at the Orange County Convention Center, with the event running Thursday through Sunday and drawing fans across sci-fi, fantasy, anime, video games, comic books, and cosplay.
What happens when Megacon Orlando takes over the Orange County Convention Center?
The convention is set in the West Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center off International Drive, with key attendee services grouped in specific areas. The ticketing hall is in West Hall E on the north side of the building, which is also where customer service and disability services are located. The main exhibit hall—described as the space for retailers, a community zone, artist alley, and the celebrity autograph and photo ops area—fills out the rest of the building.
Programming extends beyond standard convention hours as well. Activities and events take place after regular convention hours, including screenings and afterparties, with attendees directed to check the event schedule for specifics.
What if you are planning your visit: tickets, parking, and late-night logistics?
Ticket options remain available for adults, including four-day and single-day tickets across the weekend. For transportation planning, the event encourages paying for parking in advance, with designated lots spread throughout the International Drive area and some lots offering shuttle service.
Parking availability varies by day. Lot 1 (the West Concourse lot) is sold out for the weekend, and other advanced lots are sold out on Saturday, while spots remain available through the rest of the weekend. Parking prices vary by lot and can reach as much as $40.
Day-of parking has also been opened in several locations throughout the area, including Pointe Orlando, ICON Park, and Aquatica. These lots operate on different days and times with varying prices; some offer shuttle access to the convention center and some do not. Shuttles run throughout the weekend for all lots aside from Lot 1.
Late-night planning matters for attendees staying for after-hours activities. Not all parking lots are open late or have late hours, meaning guests who plan to stay late may need to move their vehicle.
What if the main draw is talent and fandom experiences?
Dozens of celebrities are expected on site, with names highlighted that include John Cena, Brendan Fraser, Gillian Anderson, and Alec Baldwin, along with a large “Lord of the Rings” cast reunion.
Separately, William Shatner is scheduled to appear Thursday and Friday at the Orange County Convention Center to meet fans, sign items, take photos, and take the stage to talk and answer questions on Friday. Shatner described traveling in for Thursday and Friday and not attending Saturday or Sunday.
On the show floor, creative work is also part of the on-site coverage: a makeup artist is featured creating special effects “monster” looks during the 2026 Orlando MegaCon.
As megacon orlando continues through Sunday, the immediate story for attendees is practical and on-the-ground: knowing which hall to enter for ticketing and services, mapping the exhibit areas for shopping and celebrity photo ops, and making a parking plan that matches the day’s availability and the possibility of staying late for screenings or afterparties.
