Mario Day Games: Nintendo unveils MAR10 Day push with retro Switch Online drops, discounts, and Mario Kart World events

Mario Day Games are at the center of Nintendo’s MAR10 Day plans announced today, timed to the Super Mario Bros. 40th anniversary and the upcoming theatrical release of The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. The company laid out Nintendo Switch Online additions arriving March 10, limited-time discounts on select titles, and a month-long competitive push tied to Mario Kart World. All of it builds toward April 1, when Nintendo said the new animated film arrives in theaters.

Nintendo said Nintendo Switch Online members with a Nintendo Switch 2 or Nintendo Switch system can play select Super Mario titles spanning Super NES, Game Boy, NES, and more. On March 10, Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members will be able to access three specific additions: the Game Boy Advance title Mario vs. Donkey Kong, plus two Virtual Boy games, Mario Clash and Mario’s Tennis.

These additions were presented as part of Nintendo’s MAR10 Day slate, positioned as a way for fans to revisit Mario across multiple eras while the franchise marks its 40th anniversary.

Nintendo also outlined a set of time-limited savings on select games. From March 8 through March 14, select retailers, including official Nintendo U. S. stores, will offer deals on physical Nintendo Switch games while supplies last. Nintendo listed Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury and Super Mario Odyssey at a suggested retail price of $39. 99 each, and Super Mario Party Jamboree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV at a suggested retail price of $59. 99, noting it as the first Nintendo Switch 2 game from Nintendo to be on sale.

Separately, Nintendo said that now through March 15, the My Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop will offer deals on select titles, including Mario vs. Donkey Kong and Super Mario Maker 2 at $39. 99 each.

On the competitive side, Nintendo said Nintendo Switch Online members can participate in a weekly series of online races in Mario Kart World this month. The company described three in-game events and said participants can earn 310 My Nintendo Platinum Points just by participating. Nintendo also framed this as part of a broader three-week run of in-game events tied to Mario Kart World.
