Euphoria Cast Expands With Returning Stars and Newcomers for Season 3

The euphoria cast is back in motion for Season 3, with Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi and other original stars returning as the show widens its ensemble. HBO’s drama is also adding newcomers Priscilla Delgado, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Toby Wallace, signaling a larger chapter for the series. The new season arrives after a long delay shaped by production obstacles, cast changes and the show’s effort to honor those it lost.
Returning Faces, New Additions, Bigger Stakes
The euphoria cast includes Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Maude Apatow, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi and Sydney Sweeney, with Colman Domingo appearing in a larger capacity in the new season. Before his death, Eric Dane filmed scenes for the third season, while Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje joined in a key role during the premiere.
Season 3 is built around expansion. Alongside the returning core, the euphoria cast now features Priscilla Delgado, Darrell Britt-Gibson and Toby Wallace, giving the drama a broader lineup as it moves deeper into its next chapter. The series originally followed Rue, played by Zendaya, as she struggled to stay sober after rehab, and the new season keeps that emotional center in place while adding more moving parts around her.
Delay, Loss and the Creative Reset
The path to Season 3 was not a quick one. The series was originally set for 2025, but the schedule shifted after creator Sam Levinson’s commitment to The Idol and then the dual WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes in late 2023. Levinson said the delay was also tied to the need to pay respect to people the show lost.
That included Angus Cloud, who died at age 25 in July 2023 after an accidental overdose. Levinson said during the season 3 premiere in April 2026 that the time between seasons was not only about strikes and scheduling, but also about finding “a way to pay respect to those who we lost. ” He also said the show would honor Cloud through Fezco’s storyline.
Immediate Reaction From the Creative Team
Levinson described the challenge of balancing grief, production demands and story planning, saying the season took time because the team had to figure out how to honor the people connected to the series. He said he fought hard to keep Cloud clean and added that the loss changed how he thought about the show’s future.
Stone also praised the experience, calling the work “absolutely delightful” and saying she was honored to join the project. Her comments reflect the scale of the season’s cast expansion, which brings a mix of returning leads, new faces and guest roles into one crowded field.
What Comes Next for the Euphoria Cast
The new season continues with the euphoria cast carrying both the weight of the show’s history and the pressure of its next phase. The expanded lineup suggests a story that is trying to move forward while still dealing with the losses and changes that shaped the production.
With the season now underway, attention will stay on how the returning characters and newcomers are used, and how the show handles the emotional threads left by past cast changes. For viewers, the next episodes will show whether the euphoria cast can keep the drama grounded as it grows larger and darker.
