Braves Vision, One Antenna at a Time: A New Plan to Put 25 Games on Free TV Across the Southeast

At 7: 15 p. m. ET on Opening Day, a familiar ritual returns in a new form: Braves Vision arrives not just through pay TV and streaming, but also through free, local over-the-air stations as the Braves host the Kansas City Royals. For some households, it will be as simple as turning on the TV and watching, no login required—another way the team says it wants to make its games more accessible.

The Atlanta Braves and Atlanta-based Gray Media announced a multi-year agreement to simulcast 25 regular-season games on Gray television stations across “Braves Country, ” mirroring the same game coverage carried on the team’s new, team-owned television platform. The first simulcast is set for Friday, March 27, on Opening Day.

What is Braves Vision, and what will it produce in 2026?

BravesVision is the Braves’ new, team-owned television platform, designed to carry the club’s non-national game coverage across the 2026 regular season. The team’s coverage plan includes more than 140 games, plus pregame and postgame programming throughout the season.

The broadcast booth will feature Brandon Gaudin and C. J. Nitkowski. Former Braves great Jeff Francoeur is slated to join as an analyst for at least 30 games. Wiley Ballard and Paul Byrd will reprise their roles as in-game reporters. A new pregame and postgame show will be hosted by three former Braves: Peter Moylan, Nick Green, and Charlie Culberson.

Behind the scenes, the Braves selected Gray Media’s Raycom Sports to produce the full season of non-national games for BravesVision, with Raycom providing end-to-end live production services. In other words, the viewing experience on the free simulcasts is meant to match the same coverage fans see on the team’s platform.

How will the free over-the-air simulcast work across the Southeast?

The free-TV part of the plan centers on 25 games carried on Gray stations in a simulcast with BravesVision. Gray will simulcast these games in 24 markets across six states in the Braves’ home television territory, described as one of the largest in professional sports.

In Atlanta, the over-the-air broadcasts will be available on Atlanta News First (WANF 46. 1) and Peachtree Sports Network (WPCH 17. 2). Across the Southeast, the simulcasts will air through Gray’s network of broadcast stations, including the Palmetto Sports & Entertainment Network, the Tennessee Valley Sports & Entertainment Network, and portions of the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network. A select number of games will also air on some of Gray’s Southeastern ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and CW affiliates.

For viewers, the promise is straightforward: the same game coverage as BravesVision, available free with a standard TV antenna in participating markets. The season’s first simulcast is scheduled for Friday, March 27 (Opening Day), with the Braves hosting the Royals at 7: 15 p. m. ET.

Atlanta Braves President & CEO Derek Schiller framed the goal as accessibility: “Gray Media has been a valued partner in bringing Braves baseball to fans across Braves Country, and we’re proud to deepen that relationship with 25 games on free, over-the-air television through Gray this season, ” Schiller said. “From Opening Day to the final out of the season, our goal is to make Braves baseball as accessible as possible and through our expanded offering with Gray, we’re providing another enhanced avenue for fans to watch our ballclub. ”

Hilton Howell, Gray Media Executive Chairman and Co-CEO, tied the expansion to a local milestone: “Braves baseball has been part of the fabric of Atlanta for 60 years, and we’re thrilled to expand Gray’s relationship with the Braves this season to help fans across Braves Country celebrate that milestone, ” Howell said. “By bringing 25 games to free, over-the-air television and simulcasting with Braves Vision, we’re giving viewers more ways than ever to watch and share in the excitement all season long. ”

Where else can fans watch, and what does the pricing look like?

The Braves also laid out a wider distribution plan for the 2026 regular season. The team said it has reached distribution deals with 34 cable, satellite, and streaming services to provide BravesVision to customers throughout Braves Country.

In addition, BravesVision TV broadcasts of Braves games will be available on Braves. TV, described as a new streaming platform from MLB. With a subscription, all regular-season non-national exclusive Braves games will be available to fans everywhere with no blackouts. Fans also will have the option to purchase an out-of-market package to view every MLB team.

The pricing provided for Braves. TV is $99. 99 for a season subscription, featuring live and on-demand streaming of over 140 regular-season Braves games with no local blackouts. A monthly subscription is available for $19. 99. Each package comes with a 7-day free trial, and fans can cancel at any time.

Separately, the Braves’ plan includes a deal with DirectTV. The team characterized its overall announcement as a comprehensive overview of how to watch BravesVision during the 2026 regular season.
