Uefa ticket sales open for 2026 finals as application deadlines and price ranges are set

uefa has officially launched the ticket sales process for four major 2026 club finals, setting application deadlines, price ranges, and a lottery-based allocation model instead of first-come, first-served sales.

What happens when Uefa uses a lottery instead of first-come, first-served?

Across the finals covered by the new sales window, the process is built around an application period followed by a draw. This means fans submit applications within the stated deadlines, and tickets are then allocated after the application phase ends rather than being snapped up instantly.

Uefa also indicated that, as in previous years, a large share of tickets is reserved for supporters of the finalist clubs alongside the general public. In the case of the UEFA Europa League final in Istanbul, a total of 37, 500 tickets are available, with 27, 500 allocated to fans. For the 2026 UEFA Champions League final in Budapest, 61, 400 tickets are referenced in total, with 39, 000 allocated to supporters and general sale.

For the Champions League final, each finalist club can receive an allocation of up to 17, 200 tickets. Applicants who are approved can purchase up to two tickets. Accessible ticketing is also addressed: disabled fans who request it can receive a free ticket for a companion.

What if you are targeting Istanbul, Leipzig, Budapest, or Oslo—what are the deadlines and prices?

The newly announced process sets specific closing dates for applications and outlines ticket price ranges for each final.

For the UEFA Europa League final scheduled for May 20 in Istanbul, applications run until March 20. The match will be played at Beşiktaş Tüpraş Stadium. Ticket prices start at 40 euros and go up to 240 euros.

For the UEFA Conference League final scheduled for May 27 in Leipzig, applications also run until March 20. Ticket prices range from 25 euros to 190 euros. In a separate pricing breakdown, category prices were listed at 190 euros for Category 1, 140 euros for Category 2, and 45 euros for Category 3, with a 25-euro price point for a special category reserved for fans of the finalist teams and for disabled spectators.

For the 2026 UEFA Champions League final scheduled for May 30 in Budapest at Puskas Arena, the final application deadline is March 19 at 1: 00 PM. Ticket prices are stated as ranging from 70 euros to 950 euros. A category breakdown lists 950 euros for Category 1, 650 euros for Category 2, and 180 euros for Category 3. A special category for fans of the finalist teams, along with tickets for disabled spectators, is priced at 70 euros.

For the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in Oslo, applications remain open until April 1. Ticket prices range from 20 euros to 70 euros.

What happens when ticket use shifts to mobile-only and transfers are restricted?

Uefa stated it has introduced new measures aimed at preventing unauthorized ticket sales. Tickets will be usable only through the official mobile application, and purchased tickets will not be transferable.

For fans who cannot attend, the process includes an official resale option. Tickets can be placed back on the official platform for resale without any added fee, offering a formal route for redistribution while maintaining the stated restrictions on transfers.

Uefa’s combined approach—application windows, lottery allocation, and mobile-only ticketing—sets the operating rules for access to the four major 2026 finals covered in the announcement, with price points and deadlines varying by competition and host city.
